The Preschool Division

Each day, children are given the tools, guidance, and freedom to develop their own love of learning. Our philosophy, based on a developmental approach, fosters the emotional, physical, social, and intellectual growth of every child. Because children learn by doing, our program is focused on the power of play, through which we enhance students’ interaction with people, places, and the subject matter at hand.

THIS DIVISION HAS AGES 2-5 GIRLS AND BOYS

Provocations & Free Play

Our Day starts off with welcoming the campers into the bunk!  They're greeted with the room and tables set up to provoke their thinking, fine motor skills and social emotional skills while interacting with their peers and Morahs. The room will be set up in accordance to what the campers are learning about that day.

Davening & Theme

Once cleanup is done we move to the rug for davening and theme! The campers will sing songs and daven. Then the Morah will present the theme of the day.

What is the theme? Each summer The Arts CH Camp has a theme of the summer which is broken down into different concepts per week and then per day. This year we are learning Basi Legani! Each week we’ll be taking another concept from the maamer and learn it in a simplified way in accordance with their age and understanding. The art projects, science, baking etc. will correlate to the theme that they’re learning at that time.

Outdoor Play

We have outdoor play every day! The kids love going outside and enjoy playing outdoors. We have sports, bunk games, and free play outside.

Centers

Centers are a time where the bunk will have different activities to do in their classroom. The Morah will have the bunk sit down on the rug and ask each camper which center they'd like to start off at.There'll be a few spots at each center and a certain amount of time per center. This is a time where kids learn how to self-regulate their emotions if there's any friction between their peers, learn time management and have the opportunity to play with what they choose and love most.

Art Curriculum

During the summer we will learn art history, use different art mediums and explore a variety of methods of painting. The Director will be planning the art curriculum.

Swimming

Swimming will be 2-3 times a week Monday, Wednesday and Thursday. We will have kiddie pools in the outdoor area at camp.
